Rise of the Ronin has the PlayStation community stirred up extremely well, considering how its recent reveals look nothing but enthralling for fans of this genre. Right ahead of the RPG’s March 2024 release, a total of six PlayStation Avatars have been deemed redeemable. That, along with more information concerning various Factions in Rise of the Ronin, namely the Sabaku, Tobaku, and Obei.

Head over to the game’s official product page on PlayStation, and scroll down until you see the “Factions of the Bakumatsu Era” section. Here, there are going to be three subsequent tabs, with each of them pertaining to a dedicated Faction in Rise of the Ronin. Each Faction has two highlighted characters displayed up front, and both of them happen to have associated Avatars for your PlayStation profile.

Make sure to sign into your account on the PS site to be able to grab these Avatars. They’re for free, and just have to be redeemed one by one. When you click on “Claim your avatar,” a code will pop up. Use that by logging into the PlayStation Store and choosing “Redeem Code” under the dropdown menu of your profile’s display picture. Should be easy to deal with from there on out.

So, as for the Factions involved, you’ve got the pro-shogunate group first, with Naosuke II and Taka Murayama, followed by the anti-shogunate, including Ryoma Sakamoto and Kogoro Katsura. Finally, there’s Matthew Perry and Rutherford Alcock pitching in from the Obei Faction as well, which is considered to be the “Western forces” in the world of Rise of the Ronin.

Last month, the game received a “Mature” rating by the ESRB and is set to arrive globally on March 22, 2024

It is the very end of a 300-year long Edo Period, commonly known as ‘Bakumatsu.’ Set in the late 19th century, Japan is facing the darkest of times as it struggles with its oppressive rulers and deadly diseases while western influence permeates as civil war continues to rage between the Tokugawa Shogunate and the Anti-Shogunate factions.”
