He also mentions “other stuff,” referring to unnamed titles that may appear on the PlayStation 5 consoles next year. Despite the good repertoire of the insider, we suggest taking the remarks with a heavy grain of salt.
Things are internally prone to change since Rise of the Ronin and Death Stranding are still nowhere near completion. The games may get delayed into the early 2025 release window if more development time is required.

The Rise of the Ronin title was unveiled in a reveal trailer during the State of Play 2022 event and takes place in the olden, war-torn 19th-century era of Japan. Team Ninja’s latest endeavor is putting a heavy focus on an immersive combat action experience. Not a lot is known about the entry, but it has already intrigued the hearts of gamers who enjoyed Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro, and the Nioh series.
On the other hand, Kojima is ardent about pushing Death Stranding 2 to its maximum limit and helping it stand out even more than its predecessor. We may hear more about its release date in the near future. The devs have mostly been silent after the initial reveal in TGS 2022.
2023 was jam-packed with massive AAA-scaled entries, alongside a big pinch of hearty indies; the last ten months have featured the best-reviewed games in the past two decades. The roster of releases is expected to slow down next year, but the Death Stranding 2 and Rise of Ronin may propel 2024 to become one of the most memorable years for gamers.
