Twitch Streamer Recreates Viral TikTok Trend On Apex Legends

Romero recreated the viral “double it and pass it to the next person” trend during Apex Legends by offering fellow gamers batteries.

Story Highlights

  • Twitch streamer, Anthony Romero, known by his username ayy_tonyromeo, recreated a viral TikTok trend on Apex Legends.
  • He asked his fellow gamers if they would like free batteries or if he should double it and give it to the next person.
  • He began with one battery and ended up giving away eight.

With TikTok trends taking over the internet, more users are now participating in such challenges. Although most of these videos include TikTokers asking random questions to strangers on the street, many trends have made it to other platforms as well.

One such viral trend is offering people something and then asking if they would like to keep it or if the interviewer should double it and give it to the next person. A Twitch streamer, Anthony Romero, recreated this viral trend streaming while playing Apex Legends.

Romero offered his fellow gamers shield batteries during the game and then posed the question to them. His initial contestant opted for the second option to double the battery and pass them to the next person. The next two players to whom he asked the question to did not reply, so he automatically assumed the second option.

The streamer ended up giving away eight batteries to another gamer who opted to keep the batteries for himself. Watch Anthony giving away shield batteries in the video below.

The ‘double it and pass it on’ trend has become so popular that even the most subscribed individual on YouTube, Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, recreated it and played his version of the trend in a YouTube video.

Giving a little twist to the trend, MrBeast asked shoppers in a grocery store if they would like $1000 for themselves or if he should give $10,000 to somebody else.

While two people kept the money for themselves, a stranger was generous enough to opt for the option to give $10,000 to someone random. MrBeast ended up giving both of them $10,000 anyway.

Watch their heartwarming reactions to receiving the money in the video below:
