Just like the other platforms, Baldur’s Gate 3 has been on a stride on the Xbox Series consoles. The RPG has sold like hotcakes on sale since its arrival barely a week ago. Now, it has hit a major milestone that even Larian Studios’ Director of Publishing, Michael Douse, had to acknowledge. The dev recently took to Twitter and gave a shoutout to the Xbox players that put BG3 at the number one spot amidst the competition.
Shoutout to the @Xbox players who put BG3 in the number one spot. It does mean a lot to see you guys buying the game, having waited so long. You never know how these things are going to go, so it means a lot.

He has thanked the fans for making such a massive feat possible for Baldur’s Gate 3. It was the top-selling game on the Xbox store at one point when browsed by the top paid entries. At the time of writing, the first spot has been taken over by none other than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, as the RPG sits in second place.
The success has excited a lot of players who were curious about its performance on the platform. Despite its fair share of bugs, Baldur’s Gate 3 has done quite well on Xbox. However, Larian Studios is far from done with it, as Michael has promised a slew of patches that will squash any remaining bugs, like the infamous save issue affecting a plethora of Xbox gamers. A new firmware update has tried to fix the save bug with some success.
There's a new firmware available on Xbox which intends to try and solve the save issue, and you can manually update to it now. Otherwise, it'll go global on Monday. Let us know if it persists beyond that. It's a tricky one.
