Bohemia Interactive Files Mysterious New Trademark Called “DayZ Frostline”

The trademark was filed only recently.

Story Highlights

  • DayZ is one of the most popular multiplayer shooters out there for PC, featuring extensive mod support.
  • The developer of the game, Bohemia Interactive, has filed a pertinent new trademark.
  • While lacking a description, the trademark’s title “DayZ Frostline” comes across as fairly intriguing.

DayZ developer Bohemia Interactive has filed a new trademark that can be spotted on the official EUIPO website. The title of the trademark — DayZ Frostline — is all that brings me to write this article because there’s nothing else to report here, no thanks to the lack of a proper description that would help explain what this particular item is.

According to the r/dayz subreddit that’s filled with stans who live and breathe the game, “Frostline” is the working title for a new map that’s on its way to the multiplayer survival shooter. Not just that, but DayZ will get added merchandise for players to buy under that label, so it certainly seems something for the community to look forward to.

DayZ Developer Is Making Strides Elsewhere As Well

While DayZ continues to stay relevant even today in 2024 despite coming out about 6 years ago; averaging about 50,000 players on a daily basis, it’s not the only project that Bohemia Interactive has its focus on. In recent times, the company announced in a new blog post that its publishing arm — Bohemia Incubator — is welcoming two studios to collaborate on their upcoming titles

We are thrilled to unveil our collaboration with two exceptional game development studios. These studios are set to release their upcoming titles through the prestigious Bohemia Incubator. Both projects will be showcased in detail at Gamescom 2024.”

Not a lot of info relating to these titles is currently out, but the studios that have embraced Bohemia Incubator are Place of Departure and Enjoy Studio
