  • We suggest taking these fables with a grain of salt. Strong rumors have indicated that November 10 is the release date for the game, and a federal judge also confirmed the release month.

In the past day or two, many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 details have started leaking into the alleys of the web. The leaks have confirmed a variety of details that have got the COD community excited for the upcoming game. Arguably the biggest rumor to pop out of the recent leak is the massive collection of guns that will be available in the title. Scrapped content from Call of Duty: Vanguard will also be added to COD: MWIII.

According to the original leaker, BobNetworkUK, the guns from the current game will transfer over to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. His sources previously claimed the following, and more evidence has now sprouted from the new leaks. It has been confirmed by a weapon from MWII showing up in leaked photos of the upcoming entry’s weapon roster.

While the details about this transfer are quite unclear, it may also suggest that cosmetics and operators players purchased could come over to the next entry as well. The leaker has since been served a DMCA strike from Activision, and the quick legal action confirms the validity of the new findings. The name of the game has also been further verified to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, as per the DMCA strike.

The prominent Call of Duty fan page COD News & Leaks on Twitter has encapsulated most of the leaks, including the weapon details. The weapon blueprints are also making a return. In addition, the remastered versions of the original MW2 Terminal and Scrapyard maps will be added in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for a pinch of nostalgia.

Based on the leaks sprawling around the fans from the recent internal playtest, the entry will see the popular War mode from COD: World War 2 and the Ninja perk. Meanwhile, the Outbreak mode is coming back in the form of Outbreak 2.0, and the fabled battle royale mode is rumored to heavily lean around zombies. Previously, the original leaker also unveiled an in-game image of the internal playtest.

Apparently, even the mini-map will be included in the new title, with red dots showing the opponents. The movement speeds should also feel swifter, as the game is making a subtle but noticeable shift from MWII. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will get rid of criticisms like slower movement and ADS attachment penalties.

Additionally, the game will feature a UI similar to the new Modern Warfare 2. The perks will be replaced by “gears” instead while virtually serving the same purpose, such as boots, helmets, gloves, and the sort. The picture below shows the “elements” of the gear system (thanks u/cr4pm4n).

All in all, we suggest taking the rumors with a grain of salt. Things are subject to change before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 eventually releases this year. Previously, a federal judge leaked the release month of the entry, November to be exact, as part of the recently concluded FTC vs Microsoft hearings. The robust rumors in the community suggest that November 10 is the global launch date.
