As more and more review platforms get their hands on the JRPG, the number of reports citing Dragon’s Dogma 2 abysmal hardware requirements on PC continue to surface, confirming that players will need highly beefed-up rigs for any chances of running it smoothly.

So far, PC Gamer has penned down a detailed write-up, analyzing Dragon’s Dogma 2’s performance on the platform. As per its findings, frame drops and like-minded inconsistencies are currently abundant in the game, no matter what locale you go to in the game, whether it’s Vernworth — one of the most detailed spots in the title — or something else of a lesser in-depth nature.
Additionally, RPG Site confirms that you can’t play the game on Steam Deck at the moment, and it’s probably going to stay that way for a considerable period of time. The flip side is, Capcom has confirmed that it’s taking active notice of the situation at hand, saying,
We are aware that in such situations, settings that reduce GPU load may currently have a limited effect; however, we are looking into ways to improve performance in the future,” says a Capcom representative to IGN.
