The Elder Scrolls Online Could Offer A New Continent To Explore

Will we finally be able to leave Tamriel and explore new lands?

Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. As with most MMORPG games, the gameplay is mostly non-linear. With a variety of quests and random events from time to time.

It features multiple races and sub-races and many different classes to choose from, providing a specific playstyle to every player. It is a purely multiplayer game that offers a beautiful world to explore. Elder Scrolls Online has aged beautifully, with its fanbase still growing and enjoying new DLCS that they constantly add to keep the game refreshing and immersive.

Elder Scrolls Online is indirectly connected to other games of its series. The game’s events occur a millennium before those of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and around 800 years before The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Although many zones in the game are accessible and playable regardless of factions, Players can only access some zones by buying DLCS.

A Possible New Continent Coming To Elder Scrolls Online

Bethesda has teased the latest expansion pack for The Elder Scrolls Online with a cinematic trailer confirming a brand new land to explore.

The Cinematic Trailer features three ships that sources think represent each of the game’s three factions. The Ships approach a rocky coastline as the rays of sunlight fall on them. But soon, stormy clouds take over as a mysterious man in a castle walks toward the open sea.

As Besthesda stated, the trailer will be part of the New Year’s story of the coming year. The story will introduce players to “a world never seen before, stories and cultures.”

While Fans on Reddit have theorized that the expansion pack could feature the Bretons, a human race with elven ancestry. Poetic and passionate, they quickly adapt to spellcraft and swordplay. Proud and courageous by nature. Bretons are famous and talented craftsmen, sharp-witted merchants, and creative wizards.

Another theory by GameSpot suggests that it could be based in Akavir, a continent that is to the east of Tamriel. If so, that would be a massive move for the franchise. All previous games in the series have taken place in Tamriel.

Theories will be widespread until Bethesda holds its annual reveal event. We will find out more about what this expansion pack may offer players on January 27 at 8 PM GMT when Bethesda reveals all on Twitch.

Before this, The Elder Scrolls Online‘s Deadlands expansion was released in November, completing a year’s worth of storytelling. Deadlands DLC is the fourth and final instalment of Gates of Oblivion adventure. It brought a new zone for players to explore and added a lot more content. It was a DLC that was worth waiting for and investing time in.

Although there are no immediate details, we can only imagine what new content and items this promising DLC will bring.
