Helldivers 2 Gets Its First-Ever Discount On PC

Helldivers 2 has amassed quite the player interest over the course of its early February release, with developers having to crank up the server capacity to 800,000 users in recent times. That said, if you’re among the people who have yet to try out this incredibly fun third-person shooter, now just might be the time to dive right in (pardon the pun). Expect a 17% price drop on its $39.99 MSRP.

Renowned video game marketplace Green Man Gaming has this code up for grabs that you can apply at the time of checking out with your purchase of Helldivers 2. Simply input “FEB17” and you should be golden and ready to dish out your daily dose of democracy. Bear in mind though that the discount also works for Helldivers 2’s Super Citizen Edition, which costs $59.99 and comes with a bundle of extra goodies.  

A cool $6.80 will be deducted from the default $39.99 price tag of Helldivers 2, leaving you with a greater incentive to just go ahead and pull the trigger. This is the best discount that the game has received up until now, and given how it hasn’t been a month since its release, I’d say the savings are fairly commendable. 

In other news, Helldivers 2 has even blown Destiny 2 out of the water, surpassing the concurrent player count of Bungie’s mega-popular live service shooter. At the moment, the game’s 24-hour peak CCU stands at 458,000 users, as per data provided by SteamDB. Additionally, the title has sold more than a million copies, expecting the publisher’s expectations.
