Helldivers 2 Has Sold Over 60% Of Its Copies On PC, Claims Insider

It was the best-selling game in Europe last week.

Story Highlights

  • Helldivers 2 has sold over 60% of its copies on PC so far, as claimed by the insider Christopher Dring.
  • The split was more even in the second week. Chris only had access to European data along with some other regions.
  • The game was the best-selling in Europe last week, followed by Skulls and Bones in the second place.

According to Christopher Dring, the head of GamesIndustry, Helldivers 2 has sold over 60% of its copies on PC so far. That is not all; the co-op entry has been selling like hotcakes in various regions, including Europe. The sales number has increased to the point that it became the best-selling title in the region last week, followed by Skulls and Bones in second place by a massive 2.5x difference.

The huge advantage in sales numbers proves that the game did exceptionally well against Ubisoft’s flagship title. It is worth noting that the split in the player base has only been in the favor of PC when the last two weeks are analyzed. But, it falls on the more even side in the second week. Chris elaborates that the Helldivers 2 players resided on both platforms on a nearly equal basis last week but with only a slight difference.

Chris has access to European data and some other major regions. So, the worldwide sales data may be more evenly spread out across both PC and PlayStation 5 platforms. All in all, the players on both platforms have been flooding the game servers as it garners popularity around the globe, and more growth is expected.
