Story Highlights
- A new deal on Humble Bundle packs together 7 chaotic first-person shooters for Steam players.
- The bundle, comprising the likes of Ultrakill, Quake 2, Turbo Overkill, and more, costs about $18.
- These shooters are considered “boomer-shooters” particularly due to their retro design and gameplay.
Humble Bundle, like always, has put up on sale an interesting collection of games for a surprisingly low price. Ultrakill and Turbo Overkill both cost about $17 together over on Steam, but if you happen to spend a dollar more, you can get those two and 5 more like-minded “boomer-shooters,” including the likes of Quake 2, Forgive Me Father 2, Deadlink, and more.
It’s quite the money-saver.
Games like Ultrakill and Doom Eternal (basically the culmination of the Doom titles up until now), they’ve gone on to stir an evolution of the first-person shooter genre, pumping the category full of adrenaline while paving the way for other developers to come forward and bring their own innovation to the table.
As such, we’ve now got more fun titles to tinker with, including Prodeus and Deadlink, which come from small developers but stand high and mighty when it boils down to sheer gameplay quality.

Oh, and let’s not forget Quake 2 here, which too by the way comes with the Humble Bundle at hand. Coming out back in 1997, id Software’s iconic first-person shooter still holds its own very well, even today. Can’t go wrong with a title like this if you’re into boomer-shooters, no sir.
Keep An Eye On Steam If You Like To Save Money
Although Humble Bundle is out there doing a fantastic job with this collection, smart gamers should keep an eye out for Steam’s cooking up for next month, bringing the “Steam FPS Fest 2024” promotion across its official storefront. It’s going to run between April 15 and April 22, ending at 10 a.m. PST on the latter. The video below shows a rundown of some of the titles expected to receive a price cut.
