Just Cause Studio Is Developing A “Cutting-Edge AAA Open-World” Title

As spotted by Portuguese news site Geekinout, Avalanche Studios is hiring devs to work on a new “cutting-edge AAA open-world” project. The listing for the Senior Gameplay Animator wants to hire talent that can work on one of its “exciting AAA projects” across various studios. The conglomerate is responsible for previously launching titles like Mad Max, Rage 2, and the Just Cause franchise.

Avalanche Studios Group and its division Avalanche Studios are crafting our next cutting-edge AAA open-world game, and we are now looking for a highly skilled and motivated Gameplay Animator to join one of our exciting AAA projects at either of our studios in Stockholm or Liverpool,” reads the listing.

As per the job description, the hired dev is expected to “bring characters controlled in the third person to life and devise NPC movements, performances, and behaviors.” Similarly, the listing for Senior Producer also mentions a “top-tier project on an exciting new AAA title.”

Could It Finally Be The Highly Awaited Just Cause 5? 

Considering Avalanche Studios is working on multiple AAA projects, the possibilities are many. Except for Contraband, the fate of other in-development titles is currently unknown. So, another iteration in the series is not entirely out of the question. Avalanche Studios has yet to reveal any of these games though.

All in all, we suggest taking the prospect of a new Just Cause project with a grain of salt. It might be years before we hear anything significant about any of these in-dev entries.
