Lethal Company Gathers 115K Concurrent Players, Becomes Top-Seller

The number of players have risen to an all-time high as the title dominates the web.

Story Highlights

  • The new indie Lethal Company has taken off after release. It has sold like hotcakes and attracted a lot of players.
  • The dev celebrated the event on Twitter after discovering about the huge milestone being crossed.
  • The title has gained over 115,000 all-time high players on Steam recently. It is currently the top seller on the storefront.

The new horror sensation Lethal Company has secretly climbed its way to become one of the most influential entries of this year. The title is currently only in early access but already surpassed 100,000 players. The developer has celebrated the event on Twitter and thanked the fans for propelling the indie to such a huge landmark. Many users have shared their positive experiences with the game, confirming the success is well-earned.

However, the online co-op game has continued to attract swaths of new players after the milestone, causing the concurrent player count to continue rising for a few thousand more. As recently found on the Steam tracking site, SteamDB, Lethal Company has already crossed the massive 115,000 concurrent player threshold.

The current number of players naturally dived after rising to such a gargantuan number, but we can expect another resurgence during the weekend. The overall population of users exploring the desolate moons of Lethal Company averages around the 30,000 mark as of now.

The Lethal Company has also done quite well in terms of overall sales. It has shifted over huge amounts of copies despite being an indie entry surrounded by notable AAA hits this year. While we have not been given an exact sales figure by the dev, the title stands as the top-selling entry on Steam. In other words, it currently overshadows every other title on the store —including Counter-Strike 2— and is only surpassed by the Steam Deck.
