According to leaker eXtas1s, Doom developer id Software is working on a Mandalorian video game exclusively for Xbox consoles. The insider expanded on this rumor, saying that the developer is targeting a 2024 or 2025 release date for this licensed Star Wars project. However, do keep in mind, that this news should be taken with a grain of salt.

As a lot of you already know, id Software is widely known for its FPS title Doom, the latest entry of which came out in 2020. The developer has also worked on many other popular First-person shooter games like Quake and Wolfenstein. Doom Eternal, the last title from id Software, made $450 million in revenue and got several Game of the Year nominations.

Hence, the developer is probably the best candidate to handle a Mandalorian Star Wars game both due to its successful track record and experience with FPS titles. Furthermore, as the report states, the game will also be an Xbox exclusive, giving the brand a slight edge over PlayStation and Sony.
