Leak Suggests 30 Hours Is Enough To Platinum Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

That's less than the first entry.

Story Highlights

  • A now-deleted tweet has revealed that players can achieve the platinum trophy in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in around 30 hours.
  • The first entry in the series took around 35 hours for completionists, making this shorter than the two.
  • It should also be noted that the amount of random events players had to finish in the first game was a big reason for the long completion time.
  • Despite Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 having a bigger map, it seems like we can expect quality over quantity in terms of content.

A now-deleted tweet by ChrisGaming95 has revealed that players can achieve the platinum trophy in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in around 30 hours (thanks, ndumbik). In comparison, Marvel’s Spider-Man took about 35 hours, which is more than the upcoming entry. While this might concern those worried about the possible reduction in content, it should be noted that Marvel’s Spider-Man took so long for several reasons.

The fact that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be shorter than its predecessor despite having a much larger map has concerned many fans. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that we will have reduced content in terms of the story or other significant things that people love. The next entry is expected to offer a seamless experience with quality content. Something that was also present in the first game, although not on the same level.

Marvel’s Spider-Man did have many random events, and players had to at least 20 of those in each district, meaning a total of 160 crimes. This, along with some other factors, did increase the time quite a bit, but still, arguments can be made on both sides. Nevertheless, this shouldn’t be a concern for many fans as it was more or less expected.

There is also a chance that this post could be fabricated, but the indications of that are pretty low. The trophies seem to align with what was leaked before: 2 golden, 17 silver, and 22 bronze. And if you have taken a look at those trophies, you will know that one of the golden trophies is achieved when the player has 100% in all districts. This means that everything in the game can be completed in more or less 30 hours.
