Persona 3 Remake Trailer Leaked Ahead Of The Xbox Showcase

Mass destruction.

Story Highlights

  • The trailer for Persona 3 Remake and Persona 5 Tactica was accidentally uploaded on Atlus West’s official Instagram before being taken down.
  • Trailers show that the games were meant to be revealed at the upcoming Xbox showcase and will be arriving on Xbox Game Pass.

In a surprising turn of events, Atlus managed to drop the trailers for the rumored Persona 3 Remake and Persona 5 Tactica, previously known as P5T. The news comes from Atlus West’s official Instagram where the trailers were posted as reels before being promptly removed. Regardless of people being able to make mistakes, this seems to be more of a marketing ploy than anything else.

Persona 3 Remake has had a huge presence in the community as the rumors have flown around for the longest time. Earlier this year, a clip of Persona 3’s Yukari was leaked showing her in modern graphics with a whole new take on combat. This clip gave a massive boost to the rumors and it was later discovered that a domain had been registered hinting at the remake.

During last year’s Xbox showcase, Atlus announced that Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable will be arriving on Xbox platforms and other modern systems. Players expected Atlus to follow a similar pattern by announcing the Persona 3 Remake, now known as Persona 3 Reload at the Xbox Showcase 2023 scheduled for June 11. Looking at the trailer, it’s safe to say that it was meant to be revealed at the event.

Another project was also rumored alongside Persona 3 Remake and happened to be related to Persona 5. Last month, a domain for P5T was discovered and players speculated that it may be about Akechi Goro citing the T to be short for “Tantei as it describes Akechi’s character. However, some believed it to be a Persona 5 SRPG and that’s exactly what this project turned out to be—Persona 5 Tactica.

Exact release dates haven’t been provided for Persona 3 Remake but it seems to be slated for an Early 2024 release. P5T, however, is coming out on November 17, 2023. More information is sure to come following the Xbox presentation but that’s all that we have right now. We’ve yet to see if the Shin Megami Tensei 30th anniversary leak will bear fruit but fingers crossed.
