You Will Soon Ride Flying Animals In Fortnite, Leaks Suggest

Fortnite upping the ante every now and then.

Fortnite is always coming up with something to keep the fun rolling, and this time, it appears the game’s just taking it to the skies. According to a new alleged leak by a credible game insider HYPEX, the developers are looking to introduce flying animals to the game, thereby making the gameplay ever enticing.

The Twitter user has proved to be fairly reliable in the past, leaking quite a fair bit of information regarding Fortnite way ahead of time, and that too truthfully. According to HYPEX, players will be able to “Boost” and “Idle,” both of which pertain to two different mechanics associated with the flying animals.

In relatively recent times, Goku managed to make it to the battle royale, dishing out Kamehamehas on sight and flying around the in-game world on his trusty Nimbus. What we have here — if it comes true — will be a noteworthy addition in tandem with other forms of rideable vehicles in Fortnite.

To give you a little background check, Fortnite is available to play on the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and, of course, current-gen consoles.

The developer of the popular third-person shooter is Epic Games, so you’ll only be able to grab it from the Epic Games Store if you’re playing on a PC.

Moreover, Fortnite is entirely free-to-play, but microtransactions are prevalent to make sure you’re spending on the game just as well. The sheer number of crossovers the IP has with other franchises is alone to baffle you, hauling in the likes of Kratos from the God of War series along with Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn.

At present, there isn’t a buzzing variety of the types of animals you can ride in Fortnite. Your options are slated for either a wolf or a boar, both of which are characteristically large and provide enough punching power to carry your character across the Fortnite island.

The game makes it quite painless to hop on a mount. There’s no need to press any extra button or anything of the like—all you have to do is aim your camera right, jump with your character, and direct your landing on the back of the animal. Voila! You’ll be riding and firing in no time from that point onward.

If the thought of being able to play with your favorite characters across the entertainment industry, in general, doesn’t excite you, then perhaps flying mounts in the bustling in-game map of Fortnite will definitely put you to your paces.
