Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere on Netflix on August 27th at 3 pm ET /12 pm PT/ 9 pm CEST.

Rockstar will upload the official reveal to their YouTube channel 6 hours later at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT/ 3 am CEST.

GTA 6’s Extended Look Could Be More Than Another Trailer

Rockstar released GTA 6 Trailer 1 in December 2023, and Trailer 2 in May 2025, and neither showed uninterrupted gameplay. Rockstar marketing their next reveal as an ‘Extended Look’ likely points to an official look at GTA 6 gameplay.

Netflix offering an early exclusive look at GTA 6 is hardly surprising. Its predecessor became one of the biggest commercial releases in the medium, with GTA 5 passing 185 million copies sold by 2023 and 230 million by 2026. Following a game with that kind of reach was always going to place every trailer, screenshot, and announcement under a microscope.

Grand Theft Auto: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix on August 27th at 3 p.m ET.
