Rumor STALKER 2 To Be Delayed To Fall 2022

Ukrainian Blogger claims that Stalker 2 will not be released in April 2022

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl is one of the most awaited Xbox Series X / S and PC titles. Players have been looking forward to getting their hands on this beloved title. Considering the first three installments in the series received a positive rating, players have high expectations for this title. The game was initially set to release on April 4, 2022, but it has been delayed according to recent rumors surrounding it.

Ukrainian blogger OLDboi, a well-known leaker in the gaming industry known for his STALKER leaks, recently posted a video claiming that STALKER 2 Heart Of Chernobyl is reportedly delayed to fall (August/October) of 2022. An official announcement by GSC Game World may occur in the coming gameplay demonstration.

He claims in this video that the game will not release at its prior date. He mentions that the company intentionally keeps the information about the delay to collect as many pre-orders as possible.  It should be expected to arrive either at the very end of 2022 or at the beginning of next year.

This rumor is further supported by another leaker in the gaming industry known as Idle Sloth

GSC Drama With NFTs

One possibility that may be the cause of delay is NFTs. Like a few game companies, GSC Game World tried meddling with NFTs. Trying to explore ways to profit by implementing NFTs in STALKER 2. They were met with extreme backlash and had to remove their Non Fungible Tokens plans.

Honoring the criticism they received, the developers announced on Twitter via their game official page that they would remove everything NFTs related in their new STALKER installment. Most players claimed that NFTs would have ruined this game in the Twitter discussion.

In the end, all of this is speculation, and GSC has confirmed nothingso take everything with a grain of salt. Let’s hope the game doesn’t end up in a delay because we have waited over a decade to scratch the itch of the STALKER games.

Multiplayer Confirmed Post-Launch

STALKER 2 Heart Of Chernobyl is an upcoming first-person action shooter game. There have been a lot of problems that GSC had to face in the last decade regarding the STALKER series. After development is cancelled many times and bearing through a lot of hurdles, gamers will finally get their hands on the long-awaited return of STALKER

YouTube video

GSC confirmed that the game will receive a multiplayer mode post-launch. Like the original game, it will be free to play. Multiplayer will feature gloves and tattoos for players to equip, skins and badges, etc. It will also incorporate both deathmatch and team deathmatch modes (as it was revealed in PCGamer’s magazine issue). Fans will be able to experience their nostalgia together in multiplayer.

As of yet, GSC have not announced the rumored delay but if it is to happen, they will announce it soon. Let us know in the comments below about your thoughts regarding this rumor in the comments.
