Story Highlights
- Stellar Blade is an upcoming action-adventure that’s coming out exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
- The game features multiple wearables for the protagonist Eve, with one of them being an NSFW suit.
- This particular attire isn’t something the developer recommends using because of the involved liability.
Stellar Blade is coming out later this month, and there seems to be a ton of hype surrounding it. Of course, the game’s eccentric combat followed by the design of the protagonist has garnered more attention than expected, with the title now soaring high on PlayStation and Amazon pre-order charts just as well.
And if there’s one thing in particular that has gained immense traction, it’s Eve’s — the protagonist — Skin Suit, which I’m sure must’ve fallen under your radar by now. Surprisingly enough, Stellar Blade’s director and studio CEO Kim Hyung-Tae sat down in an interview with Famitsu in recent times, expressing how he doesn’t want players to use that particular attire for Eve.
That’s because the NSFW-flagged Skin Suit lowers our lovely heroine’s defensive stats, making her more immune to damage and subsequent death.
There is one thing I would like to caution you about. The Skin Suit has no defensive function, and since there is no shield, you will take a lot of damage and may die quickly. We recommend that you wear clothes as much as possible, as it will greatly increase the difficulty of gameplay,” says Shift Up’s CEO.

That’s a hard ask Kim—you don’t know what you’re demanding from players here, but oh well. Folks were quick to spot in the Stellar Blade demo that this particular outfit does not come without a heavy disadvantage as well, so it now either boils down to you making Eve dress up fancily or looking out for her shield, which is disabled as soon as you put the Skin Suit on.
