After the update, a separate backup of your save will be made after the player progresses through a checkpoint, allowing the player to reload from any point in the game without having to worry about hardlocks. According to the patch notes, all saves will be stored locally on the player’s PC in the following location: “C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\TheInvincible\Saved\SaveGames.”
The hotfix 1.0.2 also adds presets for DLSS quality settings. Among other improvements, 11 Bit Studios have also fixed several hardlocks and softlocks reported by players. Hardlocks are glitches or bugs that make it impossible for the player to progress in the game once encountered. Softlock, on the other hand, results when the game remains somewhat playable, but the player is unable to further progress through the story.
