The King of Fighters XV Patch 1.70 Fixes Major Gameplay Issues Alongside Minor Bugs

SNK has released Patch 1.70 for The King of Fighters XV. The developers have addressed the majority of both the major and minor issues faced the gamers. Those range from issues in the settings and general gameplay. This is the game’s first patch in two months.

The King of Fighters XV patch brings new music selections for the game’s users. The addition of the new album, known as DJ STATION – KOF Staff Roll BGM Collection 2, gives players a new set of music options. An option to add Random Lists on the main menu and Member Select screen have also been included in the patch. The music settings for Casual Match, Ranked Match, and Room Match have also been moved to Battle Settings.

The King of Fighters XV players were left confused in 1v1 matches because if one player opened the menu, the other player was left stuck in the game screen. But after Patch 1.70, that has been remedied. As mentioned in patch notes, “[the] game will now return to the main menu once either player selects the Main Menu option from the match results screen.”

The players of The King of Fighters XV faced a major bug where they lost all their progress while playing Shingo Yabuki’s “individual trial.” Now after this patch that issue has been resolved. The issue with Shingo’s “critical hit RNG” upon restart in the Online Training mode has been taken care of as well. With the update, the developers have brought some changes to the characters of the game as well.

The King of Fighters XV is a both single-player and multiplayer fighting game developed by SNK. It was released on February 17, 2022. The game’s plot revolves around a tournament known as King of Fighters that takes place after the defeat of Verse in The King of Fighters XIV. The game is available for Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
