Story Highlights
- Ubisoft has been feeling pretty generous lately, putting out discount after discount on its official storefront for a variety of different video game titles and their respective DLCs. The industry giant’s last front-running promotional event titled “Legendary Sale” took up to 85% off on select games.
- This time, Ubisoft has returned with the “Premium” sale, and it rotates around discounted premium editions of select titles, such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ragnarok Edition and Far Cry 6 Gold Edition. Both of these have been discounted by 70% and 75% respectively.
- Among the highest discounted games of the whole event is Watch Dogs 2 Gold Edition, which is currently retailing for $13.50 as opposed to its default $89.99 pricing.
Ubisoft’s latest “Premium” sale on its official storefront does not seem to be holding back on massively discounting the French industry tycoon’s most front-running titles. In retrospect, though, the Ubisoft Store has been hosting promotional events such as these, month in and month out, for as long as one can remember, allowing PC gamers and sometimes console players to grab rip-roaring action games for incredible prices.
The idea this time around is to let players off with the deluxe editions of select Ubisoft games. For instance, Far Cry 6 had multiple variants come out for it, including Far Cry 6 Deluxe Edition. Thanks to the Premium sale, the first-person shooter’s Gold Edition has been discounted by 75%, thereby reducing its MSRP to $25. Mind you that this particular edition of the game features the Season Pass and therefore unlocks 3 new DLCs.
On the other hand, we have the likes of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ragnarok Edition, comprising the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC expansion for furthering the storyline of the epic third-person action adventure. That title usually costs about a full $100, but right now, you can get it for $30. Here is a list of all the major Ubisoft games that have seen a drastic price cut in recent times, thanks to the Premium sale.
- Ghost Recon Breakpoint – Gold – $20
- Ghost Recon Wildlands – Gold Y2 – $16
- Immortals Fenyx Rising – Gold Edition – $20
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – Gold Edition – $20
- Assassin’s Creed Origins – Gold Edition – $20
- South Park: The Fractured But Whole – Gold Edition – $16
- Trials Rising Gold – $6
- Watch Dogs 3 Legion – Ultimate Edition – $24
- Steep – X Games Gold Edition – $7.50
- Anno 2070 – Complete Edition – $7.50
- Anno 2205 – Ultimate Edition – $12.50
- The Crew – Ultimate Edition – $12.50
- The Division – Gold Edition – $15
In other news, Ubisoft had showcased a sale on season passes for its games exclusively a little over a month ago. When that happened, Watch Dog: Legion’s season pass was available for 65% off at the time, among other noteworthy inclusion. Moreover, Ubisoft has been making different types of strides in the gaming universe, apart from just pushing out sales and discounts.
For starters, its mainline subscription-based service called Ubisoft+ has integrated with Xbox, albeit with a higher monthly price tag of $17.99. This has caused a fair outrage in the community as fans complain of the business model’s unrealistic value proposition, especially considering the already established foothold of Xbox Game Pass—the currently reigning king of all video game subscription services.
Apart from that, Ubisoft made an appearance at the recently aired PlayStation Showcase. One of the event’s major announcements comprised Assassin’s Creed Mirage, finally outing the long-rumored game with a concrete release date of October 12. Changing the subject, recent reports have revealed that Mirage won’t be making landfall on Steam, at least not at the time of its initial release. We’ve yet to wait for confirmation on that front.
Before we top things off, it’s worth noting that the “Premium” sale in question is chiefly for the PC platform. Those on console will have to sit this one out, unfortunately.
