Uncharted Director Likes The Short Film Starting Nathan Fillion

The Uncharted movie is something that fans have been wanting for a long time and we know that it is somewhere in development as we speak. A short money came out a while back, based on Uncharted starring Nathan Fillion as the lead and if you have not check out it then you should. If you are a fan of the game then you will enjoy it.

The Director of the upcoming Uncharted movie took notice of the short film and it seems that he liked what he saw. The following is what Director Shawn Levy had to say regarding the short film:

Oh my God! Yes, absolutely a surprise! I found it direct very well, played just as well. Very funny. I liked it both as a fan of the game and of the franchise.

The Uncharted series is a great franchise and you can imagine why so many people want a movie if you have played the games. Nathan Fillion was great as Drake in the short film and I for one would like to see him in the actual movie. I am sure that there are plenty of other people that want the same as well.  Levy further went on to mention the following:

Neil and I have met many times and we have known each other for a long time. Even in private life, we have an excellent relationship. Let’s say that Neil understood the fact that I will respect the game a lot but at the same time I will try to tell an original story about Nathan Drake that has not yet been told in the game. So I respect what he did, what he built and he respects my decisions that are more strictly cinematographic, related to the plot. It is a very good collaboration process.

I am sure that the Uncharted movie will to very good when it comes out and it is safe to say that there is a lot of excitement around the movie and fans can’t wait to see it. It will be interesting to see what the movie is like when it comes out as movies based on games don’t do too well.
