Marvel’s Venom To Cost $49.99; Spider-Man 3 Prototype Leaks Online

The details are a part of the recent Insomniac Games leak.

Story Highlights

  • Marvel’s Venom could cost the same price of $49.99 as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, as per a leak.
  • The game is rumored to be the same length and feature roughly the same amount of content as Miles Morales.
  • Files of Spider-Man 3 prototypes also leaked in the Insomniac Games hack. It is unsure whether they are playable.

It appears that the leaked Marvel’s Venom is going to be more similar to Miles Morales than we thought. As per recent findings on Reddit and other forums, it was discovered that the game will have the same price tag as Spider-Man: Miles Morales. You will have to spend a minimum of $49.99 to get your hands on the title. Some other details were also confirmed ever since the millions of leaked files spread across the web.

Prototype files for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 were also discovered amidst the recent findings. However, it is unclear whether they are playable builds or not. It is a possibility, considering that a playable PC build for Marvel’s Wolverine was discovered.

As the name suggests, Marvel’s Venom will feature a heavy emphasis on the villain and will also have the same length as the second entry in the franchise. It confirms that the leaked project will be quite small in size, like what we experienced with Miles Morales. Marvel’s Venom will work as a gateway to the next mainline entry by directly connecting to its story.

The leak also revealed the financial measures of Marvel’s Venom. It is projected to sell 7 million copies during its first year, as opposed to 8.5 million like Miles Morales. However, the overall sales project is only at 10 million, which is 4.4 million less than how much the second title was expected to roll over. On the other hand, Venom is expected to make 285.2 million in sales in contrast to 302.4 million made by the spin-off in the first year.

The leaked title is also assumed to earn 361.7 million, which is heaps lower than the 554.0 million that Miles Morales was expected to sell. The development costs are much higher for the rumored game, however. Marvel’s Venom is expected to consume 120.0 million to develop. Spider-Man: Miles Morales only took 81.7 million to be developed. We suggest taking the leaked rumors about the prototype and the financial data with a grain of salt.

Insomniac Games was recently struck with a data breach due to a ransomware attack, which is the cause behind the sudden influx of confidential data leakage. Allegedly, the core of the leak confirmed that it plans to develop many of the Spider-Man and X-Man titles over the next decade. Some of the findings include Marvel’s Venom, Spider-Man 3, and more. A canceled multiplayer Spider-Man game was also recently found.
