Wild Hearts Will Feature Cross-Platform Play And Have 20+ Monsters, Devs Reveal

Ahead of the mid-February launch of Wild Hearts, the development team of the game held a Q&A on the game’s subreddit. The developer of the monster hunting game revealed some key details of the game along with their plans for the future.

The Wild Hearts dev, Lewis Harvey, answering a question about Kemono, revealed that there will be more than 20 Kemono monsters in the game on the launch day. They will all be large-size monsters with the number most likely to increase in the future updates of the game.

The small-size animals, such as rabbits and deer shown in the trailers “do not count as Kemono in this context.” The team also revealed that gamers with EA Play and GamePass Ultimate subscriptions will be able to play 10 demo/trail of the game 4 days before launch.

They also rebuked the speculations that future in-game content will be monetized. That includes the new Kemono and all the other content. In their words, at present, they do not have any plans to include in-game money transactions.

Talking about the end game of Wild Hearts, the dev revealed that the players will unlock a new quest upon completion. The quest will take them on a journey to “investigate” the more powerful Kemono. Without spoiling much about the end-game quest, they said the quest will take place in the world known as “Volatile Kemono.”

In one of the answers, they added that the game will have cross-platform support between Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC. They further revealed that the game will not have Steam Deck support. But still, they did not rule out the possibility of adding it down the line.

Wild Hearts will be released on the 17th of February for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
