Japan has given us given the gaming world dozens of talented developing studios. One of the oldest and best ones in this regard is Team Ninja, the creators of Nioh, Dead or Alive, and much more. Just like their previous projects, the studio has been making something brilliant in the form of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
Announced at the Xbox Bethesda showcase in June 2022, the game has had a lot of hype around it. The Chinese setting matched with the talented studio behind Nioh developing has fans excited about the game. The rating summary of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty gives us much more info about the game. In the first sentence, the rating confirms the Chinese setting of the game. Late Han Dynasty China will reportedly be the era the RPG takes place in, with large-scale battles against an evil sorcerer.
Our protagonist will engage in third-person melee combat and use resources like swords, spears, hammers, magic, and clubs. The enemies in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will also have a few archetypes for us to fight. Demons, Ghouls, and soldiers are the examples present in this rating, but we bet there are much more.
When you add the fast-paced combat mentioned in the next sentence, it’s a safe bet that the RPG’s gameplay will hold up to Nioh. Following this, the rating tells us about the violence and gore in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. According to ESRB, the title will have screams, explosions, and large blood-splatter effects.

So, it’s nice to know that the game isn’t toning anything down from Nioh and keeping all its effects. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will also contain finishing moves according to the ESRB rating. It is going to be a spectacle as characters will be dramatically impaled by swords or lances in these moves.
Adding to this, corpses are also present in the Team Ninja RPG. We will see large pools of blood, corpses, and smears of blood in several scenes. Hence, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is going to be old-school RPG fun.
As you might have guessed already, the title has in-game purchases on every platform. This rating confirms this aspect of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and it also mimics Nioh and basically every other RPG in this. It’s a common thing and different editions of the game give you different in-game items at the start.
We also get a confirmation of all the platforms which will receive the game via this ESRB rating. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Windows PC will get Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
