Wu-Tang Clan Supposedly Collaborating With Fortnite This Week

According to trusted Fortnite leaker, one of the most influential hip-hop groups is to collaborate with Fortnite later this week

Fortnite has come a long way since its inception. What started as a tower defense game and a battle-royale, soon came under the limelight for the latter mode, and has become quite a cultural phenomenon. Much of its appeal is owed to the gameplay, a hybrid of offensive and defensive play as you try to eliminate opponents and remain the last one standing out of the initial hundred while using its building mechanics to defend yourself when coming under fire. This has caused Fortnite to be highly addictive to a great many people, and they have stuck to the game ever since its launch in 2017.

The gameplay is not the only appeal Fortnite has. Its cartoony visuals make it especially attractive for the younger audience and players, and a great number of Fortnite players really are quite young. Its dancing emotes, have also catapulted it to stardom and cultural phenomenon status, with the emotes being the subject of popular memes and being often recreated. However, few things can measure equal to the publicity Epic Games has done for Fortnite through collaborations.

Ever since its first-ever collaboration with Marvel for the release of Infinity War, which added a Thanos skin for players to use, Fortnite has not slowed down and collaborated with a wide range of brands and corporations to bring their many characters to the Fortnite world. Occasionally, though, Fortnite has also collaborated with a wide array of musicians in some very creative ways to bring about their music in the game. Even if one is not a Fortnite player, odds are they have heard about the Travis Scott Live Event dubbed Astronomical.

Few games can lay claim to being the host of such spectacle and visual splendor, but Fortnite can easily boast of it actually being a regular happening. There have been other concerts and live events in the game as well that have been very enticing and brought back many people who had left the game. Now, we may be on the verge of another great collaboration soon. Trusted Fortnite insider and leaker ShiinaBR has brought to light some new information recently.

ShiinaBR states that “one of the most influential Hip-Hop groups of all time is joining Fortnite later this week!” Now, this is no small claim, especially by a trusted insider. Their claim that the collaboration is to feature one of the most influential hip-hop groups of all time is certainly no meager one and fills us with anticipation as well since there is a great number of hip-hop artists and groups that can considered to be among the greats.

ShiinaBR does not state which group it is, since they are not privy to many details as well. However, they do know that “the collaboration will have two outfits.” Later, they tweeted, “A very influential hip-hop group is bringing a style revolution to Fortnite”

Following up with the last tweet, they tweeted that Fercho_UwU believes the hip-hop skins are related to the Wu-Tang Clan. Fercho_UwU is a very reputed Fortnite artist and leaker as well, and they have shared some interesting insights regarding the upcoming collaboration as well.

According to Fercho_UwU, the collaboration will start and skins will become available on April 23, the skins will feature a backpack that “reacts to music”, one of the skins has a cap, and the associated pickaxe “has a painting-related animation”. Following up with their previous tweet, they tweeted that they have seen the skins which are of the Wu-Tang Clan but can not share the images. Later, they tweeted that tomorrow the skins would be decrypted and sent to content creators.

The Wu-Tang Clan indubitably is one of the greatest hip-hop acts of all time so they certainly tick the box. Whether it truly is the Wu-Tang Clan, only time will tell, so do take this information with a grain of salt.
