BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Files Trademark For “Last Recollection”

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment recently filed a trademark for "Last Recollection," suggesting a possible new game under development.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment is one of the biggest Japanese video game publishers around the world. The company is always publishing better and better games and has some of the biggest titles in the world under its belt. The most popular of the bunch is Elden Ring, the game that has been breaking the genre’s norms and making new records. Recently, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment filed a new trademark under the name “Last Recollection,” suggesting a possible new game that the company may be working on (thanks, u/LongJonSiIver).

Last Recollection trademark filed by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment

According to the details mentioned under the trademark, it was filed on 1st April 2022 by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment under the type “Word.” It was specifically filled by Kabushiki Kaisha Bandai Namco Entertainment, the applicant also responsible for filling the Elden Ring trademark on USPTO. So far, there has been no mention of anything about the Last Recollection trademark from the company, so we’re not certain what it could be about. It could be a new franchise being developed by the company or just one of its upcoming mobile games.

However, another coincidental event that raises a few questions is the change of BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment’s branding on the same day that the trademark was filed, as brought up by a person on Reddit making the same point about the company’s toy-making arm, saying, “What a coincidence since today is the day of Bandai Namco’s rebranding. I just wanna know if Bandai Namco’s toy-making arm (Bandai) was affected by the rebrand as well!”

At the moment, not much is known about this “Last Recollection” trademark from BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, so do take this information with a grain of salt. Recently, the company also joined hands with Gaudiy to collaborate on a new NFT project based on the DEN-ON-BU franchise, so it’s clear that the company currently has a lot of plans for its upcoming releases.
