Black Friday is running rampant all across the spectrum on a variety of different niches, including gaming, of course. That’s why it’s almost customary for most retail platforms and other online marketplaces to host mouth-watering deals for both hardware — concerning consoles and accessories — and physical or digital game copies. If you’re a major PlayStation fan and have been saving up, now is your time to shine.
For starters, God of War Ragnarok is currently a whopping $35 off at Best Buy right now, thereby reducing the MSRP of the 2022 smash-hit action RPG by Santa Monica Studio to $34.99. As exciting as that sounds, especially to those who haven’t gotten their hands on this masterpiece of a game yet, you might want to act swiftly, since deals like these only last for a limited time.
In contrast, you’ll find Ragnarok on sale for relatively less over at the official PlayStation Store, where the game is listed for $39.89 at the time of writing. And if you’re on the PS4, Best Buy will shave off an extra $5 for you, so there’s that. For reference, eXputer rated God of War Ragnarok 4.5/5, highlighting its soundtrack, gameplay, and narrative as Santa Monica put together one of the best games out there.
Moving forward, we’ve got Horizon Forbidden West to cast a lens on, and this one’s got Target feeling fairly generous just as well. With a promotional price of $29.99, the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel is the cheapest it’s ever been at present, and if you haven’t given it a go yet, don’t wait a minute further if open-world adventure-driven games are your thing. As opposed to Target, Amazon has it listed for $39.99.

Moving ahead, it’s kind of hard to miss out on what is otherwise one of the best exclusives PlayStation ever got around to developing—The Last of Us Part 1, which is a revisited edition of the original The Last of Us. Best Buy, again, is giving the game away for $39.99 for now, letting players get away with $30 in savings. The PlayStation Store seems to be following suit with this pricing as well.
And this isn’t quite it—head over to the official PlayStore Store’s catalog of Black Friday promotions for the full disclosure on fairly discounted games. Elsewhere, marketplaces such as Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and Walmart are your best bets if you’re in the US and are looking to save some extra cash on great games. Let us know in the comments ahead if you find a steal out there.
