Guilty Gear Strive has been released not any more than a month now, and fans seem to love what this fresh fighting game has to offer. It has been released for the PlayStation 4 and 5, right along with PC to give the community something new after Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. As of yet, the reception for the game has been going great, and it even supports cross-play for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5.
That leaves out the PC version of the game all alone, but it appears that the developers have full-fledged cross-play in the works for all Guilty Gear Strive players. The developer Arc System Works has given an interview (via VG247) where it was asked regarding their plans of this “highly demanded” feature.
They replied, “Of course, we are always striving to accomplish this, and we are going through the verification processes for it. But there are still many practical issues like schedules and the running costs of matching servers. It will take a little more time before we can make a concrete announcement.”
While it’s clear that functionality like this won’t be making landfall early, the fact that full-blown cross-play is in the pipeline is nothing but great news for Guilty Gear Strive fans.
