The “Bill Clinton Kid” At The Game Awards Has Been Arrested

.Geoff Keighley has confirmed that the kid who interrupted the show has now been arrested.

After a largely flawless awards show with little to no hiccups, conflict brewed right at the end when a teenager made a rather bizarre announcement following Hidetaka Miyazaki’s speech about winning Game of The Year for Elden Ring at The Game Awards.

Now it has been confirmed that the teenager responsible for interrupting the end of The Game Awards to give a shout-out to US President Bill Clinton has now been arrested.

Major Takeaways:

  • During Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Game of The Year acceptance speech at The Game Awards, an unknown teenager interrupted the event to make an announcement.
  • The teenager referenced US President Bill Clinton in his speech and referred to him as his rabbi.
  • The teenager was promptly escorted out by security.
  • Geoff Keighley later confirmed that the individual has now been arrested

After Hidetaka Miyazaki finished his speech, an unknown teenager was seen walking in front of the stage and made an announcement saying,

I’d like to dedicate this award to my reformed orthodox rabbi Bill Clinton.”

After making this cough “announcement” cough the suspect was promptly subdued and arrested by the security.

Further report has also given us a bit of insight into this goofy suspect as he went into the event as a dare for a friend.

The Game Awards Interruption
The screenshot in question suggests that this was a joke between two friends.

The host and organizer for The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley promptly confirmed via Twitter that the individual has been arrested.

The Game Awards
A further suggestion is that this was a dare planned between two friends.

There is something to be said about the irony in the director behind the Souls games being invaded during his own speech but initial goofiness aside, this is a fairly disrespectful act that takes away the spotlight from the people that The Game Awards was about in the first place.

Contrary to many who thought otherwise, Elden Ring had a fantastic victory in this year’s The Game Awards marking the second consecutive release by From Software to win Game of The Year.

Back in The Game Awards 2019, it was yet another From Software game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice that took the award, and now in 2022, From Software yet again makes another victory with Elden Ring.

From Software also announced their upcoming game on the show, Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon, which is due out next year. The game will be launching on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
