2. Upgrade the Watering Can:
   • Upgrade your Watering Can once to remove small mushrooms.
   • Upgrade it again to remove large mushrooms.

Upgrading your Watering Can twice is essential to efficiently clear both small and large mushrooms, allowing you to explore the game world with ease.

Upgrade The Watering Can

In order to upgrade the Watering Can, you will need to complete a quest called “A Dark Experiment.” This quest will be given to you by Merlin.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Reach Friendship Level 8 with Merlin: Interact with Merlin, give presents, or complete quests for him until your Friendship Level reaches 8.
2. A Dark Experiment Quest: Once you reach Level 8, you’ll unlock the “A Dark Experiment” quest, which allows you to upgrade your Watering Can.
3. Collect Materials: To upgrade, gather these materials:
   • 20x Mushrooms (found in the Glade of Trust)
   • 5x Emeralds (found in the Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust)
   • 3x Purified Night Shards (crafted from Night Shards and Dream Shards)

How To Collect Mushrooms 

Find white mushrooms in the Glade of Trust; no tools needed. They’re exclusive to this location, so collect as many as possible while there.

How To Get Emeralds 

• Unlock the Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust (3,000 and 5,000 Dreamlight respectively).
• Visit with a friend who has mining skills to search for Emeralds. Alternatively, learn how to unlock fast travel for convenience. Emeralds are rare, so patience is key. You’ll also acquire other gems while mining.

How To Craft Purified Night Shards 

• Craft Purified Night Shards using 5 Night Shards and 1 Dream Shard for each (you need 3).
• Gather 15 Night Shards by digging glowing mounds in different regions.
• Acquire 3 Dream Shards by clearing Night Thorns, although their spawn rate is low. Expect to spend some time on this task.

1. Complete “The Final Trial” Quest:

   • Combine the collected items to create the “Royal Water Can Upgrading Ointment.”

5. Upgrade Your Watering Can Again:

   • Return to Merlin and give him the Royal Water Can Upgrading Ointment.
   • Merlin will use it to upgrade your Watering Can for the second time.
