Mister Negative is a supervillain who normally appears as Spider-Man’s adversary. He has the power to invert anything he touches. This power is translated perfectly into his card in Marvel Snap, so one of the most powerful cards that you can get is Mister Negative, found in Pool 3, with whom you can craft some stunning deck options.
- Mister Negative has the power to invert your deck, swapping the card’s power and cost in doing so.
- When paired with Jane Foster, Mister Negative is capable of creating and drawing out zero-cost cards.
- Putting Mister Negative in a deck with many zero-power cards is the deadliest deck composition out there.
- Author’s Note: After going through Marvel Snap for several weeks on Steam, I feel confident going into the topic with thorough experience.
Here’s information on all the cards in my Mr. Negative’s deck:

Mister Negative’s Deck
- Why I Chose This: With the proper setup, you can unleash devastating amounts of Power across locations thanks to Mister Negative with this deck.
The top Mister Negative Deck averages a Card Cost of 3.2 and a seemingly underwhelming Power of 1. However, the composition of the deck holds a few strong abilities that, when paired with Mister Negative, shine bright.
- Devastatingly high Power.
- Strong chance to maintain priority throughout the game.
- Customizable with other low-power and high-cost cards like White Tiger and Knull.
- Relies too much on Mister Negative.
- Jubilee and Morph may be unreliable at times.
Every Card’s Role Explained
There are many different types of abilities in Marvel Snap; however, this deck only has two. On Reveal, abilities are triggered when the card is played and revealed to the opponent. Ongoing abilities have a prolonged effect and will continue to affect the game as long as the card is in play.
Hawkeye
Hawkeye is a 1 power and 1 cost card that’ll be your go-to card on the first turn. His ability is that he gets a +2 power increase if another card is played on the same location in the next turn. This tells your opponent that you’ll be playing a card on that location, so they’ll try to counter it with a card like Star-Lord.Mantis
Mantis boasts the ability to be able to steal a card from your opponent’s deck. However, this is only if your opponent plays a card in the same location as Mantis on this turn. If there’s a location like Muir Island, where every turn of all cards at the location gets a power increase of 1, play Mantis on it.Adam Warlock
Adam Warlock is a zero-power card that has the ability to draw an extra card if you’re winning at a location. We’ll be using him to take control of empty locations to trigger his ability easily. In doing so, you’ll get more cards on the next turn, which will allow you to draw Mister Negative or Jane Foster earlier.Agent 13:
Agent 13 is a low-power card that has the ability to add a random card into your hand. Having an extra card provides a slight competitive advantage over your opponent and gives you extra options to pick from. She is obtained at Collection Level 222-450 in Pool 2.Psylocke
Psylocke is my personal go-to card on the second turn. Her ability awards you with extra energy on the next turn. This allows you to play Mister Negative early on the third turn. Even if you don’t have Mister Negative drawn, it’s always a good thing to have extra energy on hand.Ironheart
Ironheart is a strong card with the ability to increase the power of 3 of your cards by random by +2 when she’s played. This allows you to buff up any card you’ve already played, making her a good addition to the team. After being inverted by Mister Negative, she becomes a strong zero-cost and 3-power card.Morph
Morph is a 3-cost and zero-power card capable of turning into one of your opponent’s cards which makes him very viable for the end game. He allows you to entirely steal a card that your opponent has potentially been saving till now and use it in your team. After being inverted, he’s an extremely viable zero-cost card, so there are absolutely no drawbacks to using him. He’s unlocked by progressing to Collection Level 18-214 in Pool 1.Jubilee
Jubilee is a 4-cost 1-power card with the ability to play a card from your deck to its location. This is extremely useful if you haven’t drawn Mister Negative by the fourth round. We’re keeping this card as a failsafe, as it gives you a chance to call in Mister Negative so that your strategy doesn’t fall apart.Mister Negative
Mister Negative is the strongest card in the deck and the ace in the sleeves. His ability is an absolute game-changer and can decide whether or not you lose the match. Playing him as soon as you draw Jane Foster is crucial and will allow you to win. He, too, is unlocked by getting to Collection Level 486 and above in Pool 3.Iron Man
Iron Man is a seemingly weak card. With zero power and 5-cost, he looks like a dead weight. In reality, he’s a lot stronger than he looks. His Ongoing ability to double the power at his location makes him a force to be reckoned with. He’s extremely versatile and will most definitely give you an edge over the competition.Jane Foster
Jane Foster is a 5-cost and 8-power card. It’s a strong card as is, but with its ability, she is unstoppable in my opinion. She can draw all zero-cost cards from your deck and into your hands, making her a vital card to have. With Mister Negative inverting all cards and turning everyone into zero-cost cards, she gives full control over the 12 cards in your deck, allowing you to dominate the final round.Arnim Zola
Arnim Zola is your killing machine. He packs a serious punch when inverted; with 6 power, he is unstoppable. His ability to destroy and duplicate cards is extremely useful near the end when all you need is a little push over the finish line.My Personal Take On Mister Negative
Mister Negative has one of the strongest abilities in Marvel Snap, and the best thing about it is that you can utilize his ability on hundreds of powerful cards like the ones I’ve included in my decks. However, in almost any Mister Negative deck, one caveat is painfully clear – if you don’t get Mister Negative in your hand during a match, you’ve lost.
I’ve said in multiple guides that if a character’s abilities are unique, then there’s almost no appropriate backup, which is a terrible strategy in Marvel Snap. As such, if you don’t get Mister Negative in a match, you can’t use some other card in your deck as a replacement since they can’t replicate the same ability. So, I’d recommend using Mister Negative if you’re extremely lucky, or waiting for a card to release that can take advantage of high-cost and low-power cards like he does.
When starting with Marvel Snap, you don’t understand how to utilize each beginner card fully. Even if you’re an experienced player, you still need a hand getting used to all the ins and outs of each card. By the time you’re at the later stages of the game, you’ll have a ton of cards you don’t know what to do with, so hopefully, my Mister Negative deck will help you in Marvel Snap.
