New Redfall Leak Allegedly Reveals Its Price In Europe

Redfall is apparently going to cost a fortune in Europe, as per a new rumor. The leaker, billbil-kun, shared the information on their Twitter handle, revealing the upcoming Redfall’s new price tag for the European region. The extravagant price of Redfall will put a dent of 79.99 euros (which is approximately 69.99 dollars) in your wallet.

Moreover, Arkane Studio’s upcoming entry will also come with a Deluxe version, like most AAA games that feature multiple editions. It will proffer an upgrade to Deluxe Edition, which will add an extra 29.99 euros to the price tag, as per the accredited insider. 

The leaker boasts a credible track record of leaking a slew of PlayStation Plus games and Epic Games Store giveaways without errors over the span of a few months. Billbil-kun accurately professed the arrival of GTA Trilogy on Steam and Epic Games store only a few days ago, which was officially announced later on.

Despite that, we suggest taking the leak with a slight grain of salt, as Microsoft could internally alter its price anytime before its release. Microsoft has not yet officially cleared Redfall’s pricing at the time of writing.

The users have raised concerns over the various forums regarding the extravagant price of Redfall. However, the European price is higher due to the imposed taxes, which usually increase the cost of games in the region.

The game’s price appears to be quite lavish, but it is worth noting that Redfall will be available on the Xbox Game Pass. Any gamer with an active subscription to the Game Pass will be able to enjoy the high-budget AAA game without spending a single dime. The game could still boast a slew of players due to its availability on Game Pass. 

Regarding the increase in the price of Microsoft’s AAA games, the company announced that it would bump up the costs of its first-party games to 69.99 dollars only a month ago, so the allegedly high price should not come as a surprise. The move initially started by Sony has now evolved into the industry standard all over the globe.

Speaking to IGN, a Microsoft spokesperson noted, “This price reflects the content, scale, and technical complexity of these titles.” They continued, “As with all games developed by our teams at Xbox, they will also be available with Game Pass the same day they launch.”

Redfall is among Microsoft’s most anticipated games that are slated to release this year after a plethora of delays. The forthcoming open-world first-person shooter is being developed by the developers of Prey and Dishonored Arkane Studios Austin and will be published by Bethesda Softworks.

The action-shooter title will feature both single-player and co-op modes and a selection of four characters to fend against vampires and other foes like humans.

Redfall has been fabled to release in the early months of 2023. However, the entry has possibly suffered an internal delay of at least six weeks, as per recent reports.

The most robust rumors suggest that the awaited entry could release during the first week of May. Regardless, Microsoft has yet to still announce a specific release date.
