Nine Months In, ARC Raiders Keeps Selling

Publisher Nexon confirmed in its Q2 2026 earnings letter that ARC Raiders, the extraction shooter developed by Embark Studios, has now sold more than 16.3 million units since launching on October 30, 2025. The game added 800,000 units during the quarter alone, bringing its total lifetime revenue past ¥88 billion, with ¥18.3 billion of that coming in Q2 specifically, about 15% of Nexon’s entire quarterly revenue.

Nexon describes the game’s sales momentum as “normalizing” nine months after release, a reasonable trajectory for a live-service shooter well past its launch window. The company frames ARC Raiders as proof of concept for its broader strategy, calling it “an all-new game that broke through in Western markets dominated by legacy franchises,” and crediting Embark’s approach to “pioneering new technology for leaner, faster development” as a template it wants to apply elsewhere in its portfolio.

Nexon says Frozen Trail, described as the largest content update since ARC Raiders launched, remains on track for an October release, aimed at reenergizing the existing player base and pulling in new players. The company also disclosed that it ran a closed alpha test for the game in China in July alongside local partner Tencent, which it says exceeded registration targets and received positive feedback on localization quality, suggesting a Chinese release could be part of the game’s next phase of growth.

ARC Raiders’ performance came alongside a broader positive quarter for Nexon, led by a 63% year-over-year jump in its MapleStory franchise. Total company revenue reached ¥121.1 billion for Q2, ahead of the company’s own outlook, and Nexon separately announced a special dividend of ¥415 per share to shareholders as part of a wider capital return plan following the sale of some of its investment holdings.
