UK’s PS5 Sales Rose Over 98% In January Compared To Last Year

The prominent industry analyst Christopher Dring and the head of GamesIndustry.biz has revealed a figure in percentage, which showcases the progress of PS5 thus far. The quota provides a better insight into just how many PlayStation 5 units were sold in the United Kingdom last month in contrast to last year’s January.

The PS5 seemingly moved over 98% more units last month in the United Kingdom compared to 2022’s drought in January. The increased sales have also amounted to a boost in sales of next-gen PlayStation games, causing God of War Ragnarok to climb up to the second place in the charts.

The supply chain issues were stated to improve in the Asian region last year, as per Jim Ryan. The CEO of Sony apologized for the lack of stock and pledged replenishment in 2023. The West and the United Kingdom since appear to have seen large doses of PlayStation 5 flooding the markets, as apparent by the sales charts. For instance, it surpassed Nintendo Switch to become the most-sold console in the United Kingdom last year.
