The Day Before creator Fntastic has uncovered a lot of new info about the game in the interview. First up, the developer confirmed that the survival MMO is still slated to release on November 10 for PC and the console release date will be announced after its release on PC. In addition, right after launching, the dev will release a roadmap containing new features to engage the player base.

We are excited to confirm that The Day Before will launch first on PC, slated for November 10. Immediately following this release, we will be sharing a roadmap of forthcoming updates to keep our players engaged and excited. The release dates for console versions will be announced soon after our PC launch, so stay tuned for updates.”

Moreover, Fntastic also gave us an update on the Steam page, saying it will come back soon enough. As per the interview, the developer is hard at work on the game and its publisher Mytona is handling the legal dispute. In addition, Fntastic also addressed the concerns over its unpaid volunteer work culture. The studio said that external volunteers, who work without pay, do activities they enjoy and contribute heavily to the project.

We were the first to start using this name related to the video game. Rooted in our belief in justice, we are optimistic about regaining our name through legal proceedings as swiftly as possible. We want to reassure our community that our Steam page will be reinstated soon.”

Fntastic also shed some light on the elephant in the room: the legal issues with The Day Before’s trademark. If you are unaware, Steam removed the game earlier this year because the devs actually forgot to trademark its name. This resulted in a still ongoing legal battle with a calendar app and the studio thinks it is in the right. In the interview, the Russian dev mentioned how it used the name first and is hopeful legal proceedings will be swift.

Fntastic also gave fans some insight into the core game mechanics and its similarities to The Last of Us. In addition, the Russian developer also addressed the concern of players regarding the studio’s experience on such a big project. Even though users are not sure if the studio can deliver, Fntastic says it is “in our ability to realize our vision for the game.”
