Diablo 4 becomes the best-selling game in Germany after surpassing Final Fantasy 16 in June. According to the statistics provided by game.de, Blizzard‘s Diablo 4 managed to sell more digital and physical copies than any other game in Germany during June.
Other new entries from June, such as Street Fighter 6 and F1 23 also managed to earn a place in the top 20 best-selling games in Germany. The list accounts for both physical and digital copies sold during June in Germany. The sales data is collected based on ISFE’s (Interactive Software Federation of Europe) Games Sales Data (GSD). The data includes all sales except digital sales of Nintendo titles from Nintendo’s eShop.
Square Enix‘s Final Fantasy 16 was launched on June 22, towards the end of the month. However, the title still managed to become the second best-selling game in Germany. Additionally, the game is a PlayStation 5 exclusive compared to Diablo 4 which is available on multiple platforms. While Final Fantasy 16 is currently a PlayStation 5 exclusive, it is expected to release on PC in due time.
Diablo 4 was released on June 5 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC. The game managed to achieve a Metascore of 86 on Metacritic for PC. Diablo 4 was also rumored to become available for Xbox Game Pass. However, those rumors were recently debunked by Blizzard’s president, denying the game’s arrival on the live-streaming platform.
