Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is packed with intriguing easter eggs, including a playful nod to Daredevil. In fact, during a live stream, the game’s creative director, Bryan Inithar, jokingly questioned the whereabouts of Daredevil (1:03:16 timestamp), leaving fans curious about possible future appearances.
Similarly, in an episode of IGN’s podcast, Inithar hinted at something related to Daredevil when asked about the disappearance of the sign outside Nelson & Murdock’s office, saying “Stay tuned.” This was recently patched out and further fueled the possibility of a potential Daredevil content as DLC.
Adding weight to these speculations is the discovery of a distinctive bookstore in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, featuring a symbol and weapon racks that some speculate could be a nod to “The Hand“, despite the lack of resemblance. For those unaware, The Hand is a supervillain organization that made its debut in Daredevil #174.
In addition, The Hand is a nefarious group of mystical ninjas deeply entrenched in organized crime and mercenary operations, including assassinations. While originating in Japan, they have expanded their reach globally. Initially established as a secret society of nationalist samurai in 1588, they were later influenced by an ancient ninja clan devoted to the enigmatic “Beast of the Hand.”
So a TON of people have sent me a clip of this super weird Easter Egg and I just had to check it out myself.
