Netflix has been trying to penetrate the gaming scene for years, taking steps to secure entries like GTA Trilogy for its roster. The company has now been reported to be in talks with Atlus, as claimed by a trusted studio insider @MbKKssTBhz5 on Twitter. The Persona dev is allegedly working on multiple titles for the Netflix mobile game platform. Details about the rumor are currently up in the air, but the insider has already verified a single series.

A title from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise is apparently going to arrive on Netflix’s games section. The nature of the game is also unknown. It could be an exclusive mainline entry for the live-service subscription, or a port of an existing title might be imminent.
However, the most surprising part is that Atlus is working on multiple entries for Netflix. Even indie journalist and Universo Nintendo’s Editor-in-Chief Necrolipe has expressed shock at the new rumor since he was only familiar with a single upcoming Shin Megami Tensei game for Netflix.
News to me, was expecting only one SMT game coming (currently in development)

MbKKssTBhz5 is touted as a credible Atlus insider in the scene, but things can still be subject to change behind the curtains. As a result, we suggest taking the rumor with a grain of salt until the studio officially reveals its in-dev titles and the new partnership with Netflix. It is already known that the team of devs is busy working on many games for other platforms. Two new Persona titles are also planned for this year, as per the company’s COO.
