PlayStation Store’s “Fall Savings” Discounts One Of The Best Soulslikes Of Recent Times

Can't get enough of this modern-day Pinnochio.

Story Highlights

  • PlayStation’s “Fall Savings” promotional event has kicked off on the official storefront.
  • The event pushes discounts on dozens of different titles, including a special, Bloodborne-inspired Soulslike.
  • Round8 Studios’ Lies of P is also enjoying a 40% price cut for both PS4 and PS5 console owners.

PlayStation’s “Fall Savings” has come in swift and slick, offering discounts on more than 250 different titles. I was able to spot some genuinely nice deals in there, but if there is one game that I can put my finger on for recommending it to the masses, it’s unequivocally Lies of P. Korean developer Round8 Studio has worked up a wonder with this one, but before we start singing its praises, do note that the game’s 40% off right now.

Lies of P
Lies of P Is Currently Listed for $42 on the PS Store

You have until October 23 to purchase the title at this price point, because the deal is not going to stick around more than that. Lies of P is a frenetic Soulslike that delivers on multiple fronts, while also not letting anyone down on the Bloodborne memory lane vibe.

It’s clear that the action RPG draws heavy inspiration from FromSoftware’s Lovecraftian horror, but somehow, there’s also something genuinely fresh about Lies of P.

eXputer’s review of the action RPG holds it in high regard, rating the game 3.5/5.0, while calling it “the best attempt at FromSoftware’s Soulslike formula.” If you’re a fan of the genre, you can’t miss this one. It’s the most authentic Soulslike in town and I’m willing to die on this hill.

In other news, Lies of P has also been greenlit for a sequel, and as per a job listing, it will employ Unreal Engine 5. That only spells good news for fans of the IP, and I almost forgot to mention that before a new iteration, there’s going to be DLC for this title too.

Other PlayStation Deals You Should Pay Heed To

Some personal recommendations from the gigantic PlayStation catalog include Hell Let Loose, an ambitious military-driven shooter that will have you immersed in realistic warfare, Control, and A Plague Tale: Requiem

There’s a tremendous number of listings on there that you may as well sift through on your own accord. Let me know in the comments ahead if there are other good deals that people should know about.
