Lies of P Gives Life To Bloodborne PC Thanks To This Mod

Now lying.

Story Highlights

  • Garden of Eyes has released a Bloodborne Hunter mod for the demo version of Lies of P that perfectly fuses the two worlds together.
  • The mod is locked behind a paywall & features weapons & armor from the fan-favorite FromSoftware game, Bloodborne. There are plans to expand the mod after the official release of Lies of P.
  • September is packed with big releases which may have an effect on the sales momentum of Lies of P. This is susceptible to change depending on its merits.

As we near the launch of Lies of P, one of the most highly anticipated souls-like games, it seems that Garden of Eyes has released a mod for the demo which fuses Bloodborne with the city of Krat. The hunter mod basically adds weapons and armor from Bloodborne to the demo version and plans are underway to expand it after the official launch of this love letter to Bloodborne and Pinnochio fans.

Aside from the obvious Hunter garb, we also see the player using the iconic Sawcleaver along with Ludwig’s Greatsword. Unfortunately, firearms aren’t included, and the mod itself is locked behind a Patreon paywall but looking at the quality itself, it’s something worth investing in. After all, the mod does more for players begging for Bloodborne PC than Sony itself.

Lies of P takes inspiration from a variety of FromSoftware games along with the wider souls-like genre. It most notably draws this inspiration from Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. You could also say that in some way, it also incorporates a thing or two from Elden Ring. Normally, you’d consider such a concoction a mess and incoherent but Round8 Studios has come up with something entirely opposite.

It goes without saying that any game in the souls-like genre will inevitably walk in the shadow of Dark Souls and FromSoftware itself. This is due to the fact that the essence of this genre hasn’t been replicated in an actual game in the genre. There have been successful attempts by developers trying to put their own twist but replicating the core itself is something Lies of P is going for.

September is a month packed to the brim with some very high-profile releases and Lies of P is competing against them. We have names like Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty and Bethesda‘s Starfield and we hope that this doesn’t impede Lies of P from showing what it has to offer. After all, despite the initial slowdown, a great game always manages to succeed on its own merit.

Lies of P is scheduled for release on September 19, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox Game Pass, PC, and last-gen consoles.
