We learned that there were ongoing discussions about the prospect of an open-world Need for Speed mobile title. However, the idea was shelved away due to the ongoing pandemic and the company started focusing on other prominent franchises. However, gameplay footage featuring the rumored Need For Speed mobile game from Tencent Games has now seemingly been leaked, according to a recent post from u/Clxbsport on r/needforspeed.

According to the available information, there are presently only three cars in this game; the McLaren F1, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, and the Lamborghini Gallardo. The game is developed in Unreal Engine 4, which job listings have confirmed. The handling of vehicles is comparable to Need for Speed: Edge, including some drift boost effects, while the map is from Need for Speed Heat, but some elements have been modified.

The upcoming Need For Speed mobile game currently has no confirmed story, nor cops confirmed to give players a high-octane pursuit.
