Wuchang’s Sequel Is Being Developed By Indolphinity

After being laid off from Leenze, the original creator of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Xia Siyuan established a new studio named Indolphinity to continue game development.
After 505’s parent company, Digital Bros, purchased Wuchang’s IP from Lenzee, they announced that the sequel was in the works, with 505 publishing it and Xia Siyuan’s new studio Indolphinity leading the development
According to the report from Gematsu, Digital Bros has established a dedicated subsidiary in Chengdu, China, which will work alongside Indolphinity to “further reinforce the Group’s strategic commitment to the Chinese game development ecosystem.”
“We strongly believe in WUCHANG as a long-term global franchise, and partnering with Xia Siyuan and c is a natural step in building its future,” – said co-CEOs and co-founders Raffi and Rami Galante
Indolphinity founder Xia Siyuan added:
Wuchang’s story is far from over. Together, Indolphinity and 505 Games are set out on a new journey, unfolding an entirely new chapter of WUCHANG’s story that is deeply rooted in the Eastern soil.”
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers carved out its place in the crowded Soulslike genre with a dark interpretation of late-Ming China, aggressive combat, and elaborate monster designs. A sequel has plenty of room to improve that formula without abandoning what made the original stand out.
The Sequel Is Still Largely Under Wraps
Beyond its existence and Xia Siyuan’s involvement, firm details are thin. Indolphinity has not announced a release window, target platforms, gameplay changes, or even a final title for the project.
Still, this is a promising first step. Wuchang is not being handed to a completely unrelated team, and its creator clearly has more ideas for the setting. Now comes the harder part: proving Indolphinity can build on the original while delivering a more polished, confident sequel.
