Fight With Firlo The Forgotten

When you reach there, you must engage in a conversation with him. Unfortunately, the conversation will turn into a hasty fight, and he will try to battle you. He might summon Hook Horrors along with him to fight you so be careful with him. After you defeat Firlo, just go over his dead body and loot him to obtain Baldur’s Gate 3 icy crystal.

Pick Pocket In A Subtle Way

Another way to avoid the fight and take the crystal is by sneaking out behind him. You must slowly move behind Firlo, and when he is looking in another direction, loot him. You can easily pickpocket him without letting him know, but you must be careful.

How To Use Icy Crystal

Baldur’s Gate 3 Icy Crystal is used to craft another weapon that is quite beneficial in battles. The weapon you will be able to craft is the Mourning Frost weapon. But you must collect two other items as well. These items are Icy Metal and the Icy Helve.

Important: When you craft the Mourning Frost, you must make sure that all the 3 items are being carried by the same character.

Icy Metal can be located in Ebonlake Grotto, and Icy Helve can be found in Underdark. Collect both these two items and Icy crystal as well to craft the Mourning Frost weapon. This weapon gave me an edge in battles and had the following advantages:

  • Gives an extra 1d4 cold damage to opponents
  • Apart from giving damage, it also deals with any kind of cold damage that you take
  • It causes the effect of Chilled status
  • You can combine this weapon with the cantrip, Ray of Frost, to make a deadly combo
  • Morning Frost has the ability of Heart of Ice which can deal with any kind of Frostbite attacks

The Icy Crystal is an item that is used to craft a weapon known as Mourning Frost. You must fight with Firlo and defeat him to obtain the icy crystal from him. If you don’t want to fight, you can pickpocket him to obtain the item.

Players need to obtain two other items, which are Icy Metal and the Icy Helve. This will craft you Mourning Frost, which deals with all kinds of frostbite attacks. It is better to obtain Icy Crystal to get the weapon as it gave me quite an edge in battles.
