Destiny 2 Lightfall Ending [Explained]

Who Is The Witness?

The DLC for Destiny 2, Beyond the Light, introduces a new mystery creature called “The Witness.” It is strongly suggested that it represents or manifests The Darkness, the polar opposite of The Traveler’s Light. The Witness seems very powerful since it can influence reality and even take possession of Ghosts to speak with the Guardians.

5. Caiatl begs the Guardian to destroy their Ghost, but the Guardian cannot bring themselves to carry out the order.
6. One of the Cloudstriders, Nimbus, arrives on their hoverboard and snatches the Ghost out of the air.
7. However, it is too late, as the harm has already been done.
8. The Witness joins the Traveler via the portal, and the Ghost inquires about what has occurred.
9. Caiatl responds by stating that they have been defeated.

What’s Next For Destiny 2 After Lightfall?
