Showing patience and evading his attacks for a certain amount of time will definitely get you there. However, with all of this being said, if you’re genuinely early on in the game and the Night’s Cavalry is simply one-shotting you every time you go up to him, time to say “cheese.” That’s because you’ll definitely be smiling by the end of what we’re about to go over. 

There is a tree that goes over the bridge where you fight the Night’s Cavalry. Let’s call it “The Cheese Tree.” You can ride up to it with a couple of double jumps and spot the enemy strolling along the bridge. What you’ll do now is simply attack him with ranged weapons, may it be spells, projectiles, or other forms of throwables.

The best part is that the Night’s Cavalry won’t even move when you’re raining death on him from The Cheese Tree. He’ll simply stay still until you deplete his health points to nothingness. Try this method on your end, and let us know how it goes. 

While we’re at it, it’s worth talking about another cheese method to take down the enemy in question. You can actually use The Cheese Tree to make the Night’s Cavalry fall off the bridge. You’ll do this by going up to him first, thereby triggering the fight and having him follow you. Once you’ve done that, lead him up to the tree and jump off it toward the bridge at its very end. Wait for the Night’s Cavalry to come back to you, and he’ll eventually fall down and free you from the torment.
