The digital deluxe edition of Spider-Man 2 introduces 10 new suits, 5 each for Peter Parker and Miles Morales. These suits are exclusive to the deluxe edition and cannot be obtained if you haven’t purchased this specific edition. Nonetheless, Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 has over 65 suits in the standard edition.
- The deluxe edition includes 10 new suits for the Spider-Men in Spider-Man 2.
- Both Peter Parker and Miles Morales received 5 new suit designs each.
- Some of the deluxe edition suits have also been designed by other PlayStation Studios.
- There are a lot of references and inspirations that can be seen in the design of these suits.
- The digital deluxe version is only 10$ more expensive than the standard edition, which is not much.
- In my opinion, you should really get the deluxe editions, as all of the suits here look really cool.
1. Tactical Suit (Peter)
This deluxe suit is actually designed by the developers of Bend Studio, as mentioned by Insomniac Games in this tweet. According to the developers, the suit features a lightweight design, which also looks distinct from its futuristic features. Aside from that, the darker greys and lighter whites really make the Tactical Suit look cool.
2. Aurantia Suit (Peter)
The Aurantia Suit is actually designed by Raf Grassetti, as mentioned by Insomniac Games in this tweet. If you didn’t know, Raf previously worked with Santa Monica on God of War as well. As for the suit, it makes Peter look like he’s wearing iron armor, and the golden spider logo really stands out.
3. 25th Century Suit (Peter)
Just like the name sounds, the 25th Century Suit makes Peter look like he has traveled back in time and is now here to fight the big villains of Marvel’s New York. The suit gives him a more tanky look, and the active blue lights that come out of the eye lens and the chest piece really stand out.
4. Stone Monkey Suit (Peter)
The Stone Monkey Suit is probably the most exotic-looking suit in the deluxe edition. It makes Peter look like some ancient Chinese Hero, which is a given, as Insomniac Games said that Chinese Legends inspired the design in this tweet. The combination of colors and the extremely distinct design of the collar area will elevate the aesthetics of this suit even further.
5. Apunkalyptic Suit (Peter)
This is the last deluxe edition design for Peter Parker in Spider-Man 2. The suit really gives Peter that punk look and is actually a creative on the design of Spider-Punk. Additionally, Peter also gets to wear a cool jacket above the spider suit, which further boosts the design of the Apunkalyptic Suit.
6. Agimat Suit (Miles)
If you’ve ever wanted Miles to resemble the Prowler, then there is no better suit to achieve that than the Agimat Suit. It is a perfect combination of purple and golden colors. The golden embellishments paired with the base purple color really make Miles look like the Prowler’s sidekick, in my opinion.
7. Red Spectre Suit (Miles)
The Red Spectre Suit is probably Insomniac’s redesign of the Scarlet Spider Suit but for Miles Morales in Spider-Man 2. This suit really showcases the swagger of a New York teen who also turns out to be Spider-Man. I like how Miles’ new and cool hairstyle is showcased through this suit and is not hidden.
8. Encoded Suit (Miles)
Since there are deluxe suits that make Peter look futuristic, Miles Morales also deserves some. And Insomniac delivered the Encoded Suit, which almost looks like Peter’s suit in his final battle in Spider-Man 2018. But the suit seems sturdier, as it almost looks like Miles is wearing some armor.
9. Biomechanical Suit (Miles)
Another futuristic design for Miles, but this time, it has been paired with the red color, which looks much better than the Encoded Suit. It almost seems like Iron Man built the suit and probably contains some gadgets that come built-in with the suit. Additionally, it also gives off that strong, tanky look.
10. Tokusatsu Suit (Miles)
Lastly, the final deluxe edition suit is the Tokusatsu Suit for Miles, which undoubtedly looks like the coolest deluxe suit, in my opinion. The clear reference from Power Rangers is so direct and faithful that this suit has clearly stolen the spotlight among all others. I would get the deluxe edition of the Tokusatsu Suit alone; it’s that good.
My Thoughts On These Deluxe Suits
I really think that the 10$ that you pay extra for the deluxe edition is really worth it because all of the 10 additional suits that you get are extremely well designed. However, it is a bummer that the deluxe edition doesn’t ship on disc currently, and you can only purchase it digitally. Do not worry if you buy the physical edition since deluxe suits can be bought as DLC.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releases soon, and you can actually pre-load it on your PS5 if you’ve pre-ordered the game. The cast of characters is huge. All the new features in Spider-Man 2 not only make it a faithful sequel but also an improved one at that.
This concludes my guide on the digital deluxe suits in Spider-Man 2. I have included all of the suits in the deluxe edition for Peter Parker and Miles Morales. All the new designs and their inspirations have also been explained. Let me know if you will purchase the digital deluxe edition of Spider-Man 2 in the comments below!
