The actor said that Rockstar won’t talk to the Florida Joker as people like him have been trying to sue the publisher for decades. As per Clark, the company is lawyered up and knows what it can get away with so instead of fighting them, the Joker should make use of this newfound fame.

If you aren’t aware of the context behind this, Lawrence Sullivan, also known as the Florida Joker, called out Rockstar Games for using a parody of him in the GTA 6 teaser. Sullivan’s mugshot was one of the many clips inspired by real-life events we saw in the trailer and the Florida Joker didn’t like this one bit. He said that Rockstar Games needed to talk to him, indicating that the Joker might be planning to sue the American publisher.
In a follow-up video, Sullivan doubled down on the similarities between him and the Joker in GTA 6, saying Rockstar took his life and his likeness. The Florida resident proceeded to call out the video game company, asking for a million or two million for parodying him in the GTA 6 trailer.

Rockstar has parodied a lot of people in their games and no one has been successful in suing the company so far. Lindsay Lohan was the last person who tried this when GTA V was released, saying there were similarities between her and the notorious red bikini girl. However, after four years of legal battles, she lost the case in 2018 and didn’t get any money out of Rockstar.
Therefore, Roger Clark is right in advising Lawrence Sullivan to somehow use the notoriety thrown his way to his advantage instead of trying to sue one of the biggest gaming companies on Earth. As Clark pointed out, he probably isn’t getting a job at Home Depot with those tattoos so he should capitalize on this renewed fame.
For those who missed it, the first teaser for GTA 6 dropped on December 5 and has since taken the gaming world by storm. From the trailer leaking a day earlier to not launching on PC at the start, controversy is already taking over one of the most anticipated games of all time. There’s no release date given as of yet; only a window of 2025.
